The Wisconsin Immunomodulatory Targeted Radionuclide Therapy (ITRT) P01 program is administratively managed by Shari Piaskowski. Additional fiscal support provided by the Department of Radiology.

Summary

The Administrative Core (Admin Core) provides the operational structure necessary for the planning, implementation and management of all P01 activities and promotes the efficient, progressive and successful conduct consistent with the program goals and P01 mission.

It provides administrative coordination, oversight and research support services to all leaders, co-leaders, investigators and core directors. By providing this support centrally, the Admin Core promotes efficiency and ensures that all P01 research and activities are focused and connected, complex scientific objectives are met, and existing cancer center resources are utilized and not duplicated.

Finally, the Admin Core provides required project oversight, monitoring and auditing to ensure projects are meeting stated endpoints consistent with the P01 research plan and adhering to all regulatory requirements.

Specific Aims

  1. Provide organizational structure and operational plan needed to achieve overall aims of the P01.

  2. Provide scientific oversight of all projects and cores.

  3. Coordinate programmatic communication.

  4. Provide fiscal and grant management services and oversight. The

The overarching goal of the Administrative Core is to provide the operational structure necessary for optimal planning, implementation and management of all P01 Research Project and Core activities and promote the efficient, progressive, and successful conduct consistent with the program goals and the overall P01 mission.

The Administrative Core is led by the P01 Multiple Principal Investigators (Multi-PIs) Jamey Weichert, PhD, and Zach Morris, MD, PhD.  The Administrative Core leadership provides coordination and connections to research support services to all Leaders, Co-Leaders, Investigators and Core directors. It provides strategic management and optimization of institutional shared and P01 Core resources available to investigators. By providing this support centrally, the Administrative Core enhances efficiency and ensures that (1) all P01 research and activities are focused and connected, (2) complex scientific objectives are met, and (3) existing University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) resources are utilized and not duplicated.

Finally, the Administrative Core provides required project oversight, including monitoring and auditing to ensure projects are meeting stated endpoints consistent with the P01 research plan. An experienced administrative associate, Shari Piaskowski, serves as the administrative manager of the P01, with support from institutional post award staff from central offices to ensure all regulatory requirements specific to grant terms, as well as local, state, and federal laws are met.
